Lorde has dropped the title track from her upcoming album, Solar Power. The pop singer-songwriter wrote and produced the song in collaboration with Jack Antonoff.

In a message e-mailed to her fans, Lorde said, “The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors.”

“In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learnt to breathe out, and tune in.
This is what came through,” she added.

“Solar Power,” which is Lorde’s first new music in four years, features background vocals from Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo.

Lorde shared the cover artwork on her website on Monday, with the title “Solar Power,” and a message, “Arriving in 2021 … Patience is a virtue.”
