Rise Against have earned their first Billboard radio airplay chart topper with “Nowhere Generation.”

The title track from the punk rock band’s ninth studio album climbed a step from No.2 on the Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay tally dated August 7.

Rise Against’s career on the radio charts dates back to January 2005, when their song “Give It All” reached No. 37 on the Alternative Airplay chart.

The band had to wait nearly another four years to hit Mainstream Rock Airplay.

Rise Against’s previous best rank on Mainstream Rock Airplay was a No. 2 peak for “The Violence” in August 2017.

“Nowhere Generation” is currently standing at No. 3 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 6.6 million audience impressions, according to MRC Data.

It is also ranked second on the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.
