The Stokes frontman Julian Casablancas threw out the first pitch at Monday night’s New York Mets game against the Atlanta Braves.

Casablancas, who is a big Mets fan, wore a Darryl Strawberry replica and a bandana for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Casablancas recently signed a global deal with Concord Music Publishing, which includes all of his previous and future solo efforts as well as other endeavors including The Voidz, the rock band he formed in 2013.

The Strokes’ sixth and most recent studio album, The New Abnormal, dropped in 2020 and won best rock album at the Grammy Awards.

The band also debuted a new song “Starting Again” during an ad for Maya Wiley‘s campaign for mayor.
